2018 Bella Vida Vineyard Clonal Selection – Wädenswil Pinot Noir

The Clonal Selection Series is a collection of small bottlings that reveal the nuanced differences between the Pommard and Wädenswil clones. We were intruigued by the finesse of Pommard and the structure of Wädenswil and how those clones perform together to clearly express their unique terroir. The fruit for these bottlings was sourced from the Bella Vida Vineyard in the Dundee Hills; one of our favorite sites.

The Wädenswil clone comes from Switzerland and was developed for cooler climates, making it a perfect match for the Willamette Valley. This wine has a big aroma of high-toned red and blue fruits and pronounced plum. A lush, weighty attack on the mid-palate is supported by the characteristically forceful structure of Wädenswil. 

Extremely limited release exclusive to the 2018 vintage.
